平昌オリンピック開幕まであと１０日

　平昌冬季五輪の開幕まであと１０日に迫った。安倍晋三首相の開幕式出席を巡っては賛否両論が渦巻いたが、２４日の会見で出席する意向が表明された。官邸も対応に苦慮した末の判断と伝えられるが、自民党内など一部に根強い異論がくすぶる▼反対論の主な論点は、慰安婦問題に関する日韓合意を反故にした韓国政府の新方針について、国内外に誤ったメッセージを伝える懸念があるというもの。このところの北朝鮮との関係も含め、文在寅政権に対する不信が根底にあるようだ▼オリンピックはスポーツの祭典であり、平和の象徴でもある。政治とは切り離して考えるべきとされているが、理念と現実は別物。実際にはその時々の国際情勢を色濃く反映し、様々な形で政治利用されてきた側面もある▼今回は、韓国女子アイスホッケーチームが翻弄される。南北統一チームの聞こえはいいが、競技ルールまでねじ曲げた現場無視の政治決着である。長期にわたってチームの熟成に努めてきた選手やスタッフの戸惑いはいかばかりかと思う▼ともあれ大会は９日に開幕する。日本選手のメダル獲得への期待が高まり、各種目の結果に列島が一喜一憂するのは毎度のことだ。自国選手団への応援が熱を帯びるのは自然な成り行きだが、過度にナショナリズムを煽るような言動には注意が必要だ。（１８・１・２９）
